Your home away from home

Our view of the Maumee River

You'll love to watch the deer we often see from the
deck.
The largest of all Great Lakes rivers,
the Maumee is one of the most important inland avenues of history
and culture in North America. The Maumee River corridor comprises
150 miles of the most natural and scenic resources in our area.

 ...above the beautiful Maumee River,
deep in the countryside, River House Bed & Breakfast is
a completely remodeled retreat for your soul. Rejuvenate yourself
with a stay in one of our four large private-bath guestrooms, filled with
eclectic antiques, interesting art and comfortable furnishings.
Your hosts, John and Nancy Jack, will pamper
your every whim while respecting your complete privacy.

Relax in your Jacuzzi, watch the deer from
the wrap-around deck overlooking the scenic Maumee River. Join your
fellow guests in the Living Room, lounge in the Family Room or
watch the sunset on the deck.
And if you're feeling a need to explore,
visit nearby Perrysburg, Waterville or Grand Rapids for lovely
Victorian homes, antique shopping and even canal boat rides. For a
dose of American history, visit Fort Meigs, a completely restored
fort from the War of 1812. All within a few miles of pleasurable
driving along the curving River Road, a state-designated Scenic
Highway.
Or...just take a walk, hand-in-hand, down to the river
itself.
Whatever your idea of relaxation and comfort, you'll find it at
River House.
